Robin Williams ha sido siempre uno de mis actores favoritos. Cuando me enter\u00e9 de su fallecimiento, mi primer instinto fue volver a ver una de mis pel\u00edculas favoritas de todos los tiempos, \u201cMrs. Doubtfire\u201d. Y es una pel\u00edcula excelente que me ayud\u00f3 a pasar por una crisis similar en mi propia vida. Como iba a aprender enseguida, no estaba solo. Mrs. Doubtfire se convirti\u00f3, a trav\u00e9s de la voz de ni\u00f1era escocesa de Williams, en el rayo de esperanza para miles de otros ni\u00f1os que estaban experimentando el divorcio de sus padres.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed que esto es para todos los padres que han decidido separarse. Para los ni\u00f1os es dif\u00edcil entender por qu\u00e9 sus padres ya no van a seguir viviendo juntos. Por tanto, si quieren decirles suavemente que tienen intenci\u00f3n de divorciarse, le recomendar\u00eda que vieran esta pel\u00edcula juntos, porque le ense\u00f1ar\u00e1 valiosas lecciones como las que siguen.<\/p>\n

Lecci\u00f3n 1: Hay Muchos Tipos de Familias<\/h2>\n

Supongo que los ni\u00f1os crecen con la idea de las familias tradicionales, es decir, una mam\u00e1, un pap\u00e1 y ellos, los hijos. Por eso cuando los padres deciden separarse, los ni\u00f1os pueden pensar que van a dejar de ser una familia. Mrs. Doubtfire me ense\u00f1\u00f3 que hay muchos tipos de familias diferentes. Algunas tienen madres solteras, otras padres solteros, algunas no tienen padres en absoluto. Pero simplemente por el hecho de que no se adhieran a las ideas tradicionales, no significa que no sean una familia. Y \u00e9se es un mensaje importante y reconfortante que dar a sus hijos, especialmente cuando les comunican la noticia por primera vez.<\/p>\n

Lecci\u00f3n 2: Los Nuevos C\u00f3nyuges no Son Siempre Malvados<\/h2>\n

\u00bfSabe lo que m\u00e1s me gust\u00f3 de esta pel\u00edcula? El hecho de que no demonice al car\u00e1cter que interpreta Pierce Brosnan. Por si no ha visto la pel\u00edcula, \u00e9l interpreta al nuevo inter\u00e9s sentimental de Sally Field, la madre de los ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

Los medios siempre nos han ense\u00f1ado a resentir a la nueva pareja de nuestros padres. Ya se trate de la madrastra malvada en Cenicienta o Meredith de \u201cLa trampa de los padres\u201d, las nuevas apariciones en la vida de los padres son siempre la oveja negra de la familia. Estas tramas siempre van seguidas de los ni\u00f1os tratando de reunir de nuevo a sus padres.<\/p>\n

Pero Mrs. Doubtfire mostraba c\u00f3mo Stuart (Pierce Brosnan) ten\u00eda buenas intenciones con Miranda y adem\u00e1s quer\u00eda a los ni\u00f1os. Y los ni\u00f1os se dieron cuenta de que su mam\u00e1 estaba m\u00e1s contenta.<\/p>\n

Si est\u00e1 pasando por el divorcio con su pareja, \u00e9ste es otro gran mensaje que deber\u00eda darles a sus hijos.<\/p>\n

Lecci\u00f3n 3: Un Mal Marido no es Necesariamente un Mal Padre<\/h2>\n

Y viceversa. Siempre comentamos c\u00f3mo los ni\u00f1os se culpan cuando hay un divorcio, pero tambi\u00e9n es cierto lo contrario cuando uno empieza a pensar que un mal compa\u00f1ero equivale a un mal padre. Eso no es cierto en absoluto. Usted se est\u00e1 culpando por las razones equivocadas. Su relaci\u00f3n con sus hijos es muy distinta a la que tiene con su pareja.<\/p>\n

Esto lo podemos observar en el modo en que Daniel y Miranda no son capaces de arreglar su matrimonio, pero a\u00fan as\u00ed los dos hacen todo lo que pueden para darles lo mejor a sus hijos. Mientras que uno contrata a una ni\u00f1era competente para que les cuide cuando est\u00e1 fuera de casa, el otro se convierte<\/em> en la ni\u00f1era que se encarga de cuidarles.<\/p>\n

Emplee el Sentido del Humor<\/h2>\n

Reconozc\u00e1moslo, el divorcio es un jarro de agua fr\u00eda y hacer pasar a sus hijos por ello tambi\u00e9n. Pero la cuesti\u00f3n radica en c\u00f3mo lidiar con todo ello. Re\u00edrse por el camino en tiempos de crisis puede ser lo m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil del mundo, pero ayuda. Y les har\u00e1 ver a sus hijos que tampoco es el fin del mundo. Es lo que Robin Williams nos ense\u00f1\u00f3 mediante su obra, como la ni\u00f1era escocesa y el genio y Patch Adams.<\/p>\n
