In the previous blog, I got you guys up to speed with what Kik Messenger is. I may have spoken of this mobile app earlier in other blogs, but I realized I never gave it its own moment in the sun. So now that you know what this mobile app is and what safety hazards it proposes, you need to learn how you can mediate and control those hazards.
In simple terms, you need to learn how to monitor Kik messenger.
Here’s how you do it.
Step 1: Install XNSPY
First off, you’re going to need your parental control. To install XNSPY, simply go to the Buy Now page. From here, you can choose a package plan and a subscription. Just make sure you go through the features checklist provided on this page to make sure that whatever plan you choose comes with Kik monitoring. When you purchase the app, you get an email that contains installation guides and an online account details (more on that later). Follow the installation steps provided in the guide to put XNSPY on your child’s phone and you’re ready to go.
Step 2: Set Up Online Account
Next thing you’ll want to do is set up your online account. How do you do that? Simply take the credentials emailed to you and put it into the online account page. You will now have access to your own personal and unique XNSPY online account which corresponds to the mobile app. This means that all data collected from the app will appear on here as if on a cloud. So even though you won’t be physically touching your kid’s phone, you will wireless obtain all the information being transferred on their device.
Step 3: Enable Kik Monitoring
Take a moment to make sure that Kik monitoring is enabled on your online Control Panel. As you may know, XNSPY offers countless other features. As a default, every single feature is toggled on. However, if you feel like you’ve waited a long time and you are still not getting Kik data, go to the Toggle bar on the Control Panel and make sure Kik is toggled on.
Step 4: Set Up Watchlist
Another useful little tidbit. XNSPY comes with a Watchlist. Here you can add all the trigger words or contacts that you want to keep a closer eye on. From my experience, I know that most parents use XNSPY at night when they have returned from work and read through the activities their kids conducted on their phones throughout the day. But sometimes, if you wait till bedtime, you miss out on opportunities to step in at the right time. With the Watchlist, you are sent an instant notification anytime there is suspicious activity that corresponds to the triggers you have set up. This way, you can intervene as a parent when it is most useful.
And that’s about it. Kik monitoring is really that simple with XNSPY. Once again, I’m going to point out that it is not necessary that your child is using this app for something bad. However, as a parent, knowing the potential Kik has to go wrong, it is always better to take precaution.
