There are so many different ways to see someone’s location that it gets so difficult to determine which one to go with. Considering we have been in the spying app business for so long, we have figured out all the different possibilities that can be used to see someone’s location using an Android phone.
Before we move ahead with answering the question "How do you see someone’s location on your Android phone," let’s take a clear look at what we will be covering in this guide.
We will be covering three different ways for how you can see someone’s location on your Android phone. All these methods will let you see the location of another person but they all differ in one way or another.
There are some easier, free ways to see someone’s location and while there are some subtler, highly discreet and more comfortable ways. You will get to know all them including their pros and cons in this guide. We will start off with the best solution available before heading on to the less significant ones.

If you know someone who has a jailbroken iOS device, you can see the location by downloading Xnspy on their iPhone/iPad. Because Xnspy or other spy apps aren’t available on the App Store, a jailbreak is required to download Xnspy.

If you don’t have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad, you could use Xnspy’s iCloud version which only requires the iCloud credentials of a person to see their location on your Android phone. You could find the entire installation guide here:

Just like Apple’s ‘Find My iPhone’, Google also has its ‘Find My Device’. You can use this on an Android device to locate, ring or wipe it. Google’s ‘Find My Device’ requires the Google account that’s been used on the phone. So if you are close to the person whose location you want to see and know their Google account credentials paired with their cell phone, you can simply sign in any time into their Google account and use Find My Device to locate where they are. The best part is that you don’t even need to turn on Find My Device because it’s already enabled if there’s a Google account used on the phone.
However, this method comes with a downside: You need Google account details of others. But if you do, you don’t have to spend a dime to see someone’s location on your Android phone.
Another easy way to see someone’s location is by carefully utilizing the WhatsApp’s Live Location feature. With this, users can send their updated location to a person for up to 8 hours. During this time, WhatsApp periodically updates the location of the person upon displacement. However, remember that you will be required to manually access other person’s WhatsApp and send yourself their Live Location.
Open the target person’s WhatsApp and tap on the new message icon and select yourself as the contact with whom you want to share the live location.
If the target person has never shared their location with anyone, you will be prompted to ‘Allow’ WhatsApp to use location services on the phone. Allow any prompts that may pop up.
Tap on ‘Share Live Location’ from the screen that follows. WhatsApp will inform that any participants of the chat will be able to see your location in real time.
It’s time to select the duration for which you want to share the location. There are options for 15 minutes, 1 hour and 8 hours.
To ensure that the location sharing is overlooked by the other person, you can send multiple WhatsApp messages from your phone on their WhatsApp.
