Stop Texting and Driving

How to Teach Your Kids to Stop Texting and Driving Once and For All

So, this teenager T.J. Evarts has just invented a pretty cool solution to texting and driving—something he calls the SMARTWheel. It is a steering wheel add-on cover that monitors that you keep both your hands on the wheel at all times. Evarts, now 20, started this project when he was just 14. He said that while he was able to find apps and technology that helped with the aftermath of an accident (by telling you how fast you hit a tree, for example), there was nothing that helped you before. There were no preventative measures. This is what ultimately prompted him to invent this pretty amazing piece of tech. Take a look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRKeLddEwrI If you guys read our blog, you already know that we are all about preventative measures. We always tell you, take action before, before, before rather than waiting for consequences to take their full effect. So let 2016 be the year when you teach your teen to stop texting and driving once and for all. This infographic from Kars4Kids gives you the stats: Here’s what I found interesting from this chart: 77% teens think that they’ll be absolutely fine if they text and drive at the same time. Not only this, but 15% kids have seen their parents text and drive at the same time. This website encourages everyone to take the TTYL pledge. Texting can wait till after you’ve stopped driving. Here are some more stars from AT&T that promotes their #ItCanWait campaign: It is mind boggling, really, when you realize that 100,000 crashes are not only the result of distracted driving in general, but texting and driving in particular. While you’re distracted, you are 23 times more likely to be in an accident. Why put yourself at such a huge risk? Surely, whoever wants you text you would understand that your life matters much more than an instant reply. It is that need for instant gratification that is putting so many lives in danger. Our app gives parents a cell phone tracker as well as the Watchlist so parents are alerted anytime their child is on the move or anytime they are using their phones. But if your child has developed a habit of texting and driving at the same time, I suggest something better. Lock their phones whenever they take their car out for a drive. Do this till they lose the habit. Nothing is more important than their lives, and the lives of all others they put in danger through distracted driving. Make this the year you help them put an end to texting and driving.

Using Parental Controls
Child Monitoring

84 Percent Parents in the World are Still Not Using Parental Controls!

A recent survey conducted by the Pew Research Center has found that only 16% parents actually use parental controls to watch over and monitor their children’s digital behavior. This means that 84% are still either unaware that monitoring tools exist, or they do not understand the full consequences of parental negligence in the online world. Another thing that this survey found was the fact that parents are still inclined towards using traditional monitoring methods—such as taking devices away. In all honesty, we consider this situation as a challenge. We have always wanted to educate parents everywhere on the importance of mobile monitoring. But how do we think it is better than traditional monitoring? Let’s take a look. The Shortfalls of Traditional Monitoring According to the survey, the “traditional” methods parents adopt for tech monitoring are: Taking the child’s devices away Setting time limits to usage aka cyber curfews Asking for the child’s smartphone passcodes, and other passwords Friending them on social media Now, all of these are pretty good parenting techniques. They are techniques that we endorse, interestingly. However, without parental controls, they do not amount to much. Taking the child’s device away for a particular period of time does not eliminate problematic behavior… it simply delays it for some time. Consider this: if you are not even aware of what your child is doing on their devices, what good are cyber curfews or knowing a child’s password? Parental controls give you the knowledge to make informed decisions as a parent. How Are Parents Today Monitoring? Some of the survey results regarding a parent’s monitoring behavior can be seen below: From these results, I think a silver lining does exist—at the very least; parents have started to become more aware about the importance of digital involvement. From the charts, we can see that 61% parents check in on the websites the kids visit, and 60% check their social media profiles. Like we pointed out in our earlier blogs, the “adult Millennials” so to speak have started to become parents. And then of course, we’ve got parents of Gen-Z, whose kids have been born into the smartphone world. Perhaps it is the combined tech awareness of these generations that have lent to this change. A Greater Need for Parental Controls The truth of the matter is that all this awareness will amount to nothing if parents are not using the tools and technology available to them to be responsible. Our job at XNSPY is to keep reminding you guys why parental controls are absolutely necessary. We share with you consequences of negligence from the news. (https://almomento.net) We share stories that other parents tell us. Our goal is to educate parents that in this connected age, there is a greater need for parental controls than ever before. And if you’ve been doing so, you should pass on the torch to another parent as well!

Employee Management Trends

Employee Management Trends that Will Emerge in 2016

Let’s go out on a limb and make some predictions for the coming year, shall we? Management continues to evolve and become more complex than it has been before. But these are the few things we are sure will emerge in 2016. Younger Talent in Top Spots The Millennials are growing up and moving up the corporate ladder. Baby boomers on the other hand are retiring and moving out of their ranks. This means we can expect a lot of changes in the way many companies are run. We already know that traditional hierarchal structures haven’t been fan favorites for a long time. This year will possibly bring them to the forefront in a bigger way. More Apps for Management Another thing that is sure to come with Gen-Y finally taking the helm? Digitalization of even the littlest management tasks. Hiring young talent to take over web responsibility and going digital has become increasingly common. But now as more of these people are taking up management spots, we can expect digitalization to become more than just a buzzword that works as a side project. We feel that it will now be integrated into the whole of the organization, across all departments and functions. We’re talking more than ERP systems that are often overly sophisticated in function—we’re talking apps with a one-tap system that the Millennials have grown up with. These kids are characterized by their impatience, their ability to say a lot more in a lot less and their very short attention spans. But as it turns out, this is a great thing. Transparency in Monitoring Finally, another thing that that Gen-Y has grown up with is too much information. Not just the wealth of information, but also the ease of accessibility of it. This is why workplaces are becoming increasingly like fish bowls. Departments cannot work in secrecy anymore. Whatever a single employee does is known to the entire company—and that is in part due the way monitoring employees is changing. Workers are moved to focus more on self-supervision and accountability. This means they are free to work as they wish as long as they bring home results. But that doesn’t mean that the employers don’t play their part. It is simply that monitoring has gone wireless just like any other aspect of the digitalized workplace. Take the XNSPY employee monitoring app for example. Increasingly, more and more companies are adopting the ‘management by staying away’ technique by giving the right amount of space with the right amount of monitoring. And you what? It is generating results. This is the year Gen-Y will take control and you’ll find that the things you scoffed at—the lingo, the short attention spans, the instant communications—will be the very things that drive us to success.

Crafting a Safety Plan for the Big Move—a Dad’s Advice to XNSPY Readers

Here is an XNSPY dad’s story about how XNSPY helped him move from one state to another along with his entire family. Leaving your old home behind can be difficult, but orchestrating the move itself? We’ll let the dad tell you his experience in his own words… I’m going to start off by saying that my story isn’t going to be sensational or pull at heartstrings like some of the other parent’s stories I have seen on here. Actually, scratch that. Because it is not a story at all. It is basically just a piece of advice to folks that read this thing about something really cool that I did. I think it was my proudest dad moment; because in that moment, I took control of a big move that had been spiking my blood pressure. And I did it with an app. Me. Using an app. Just like the cool kids these days. So consider this my memoir of how I managed to move my entire family from one state to another without anyone experience a single meltdown. Not even one. My XNSPY parental control was basically by Yoda, telling me to use the Force. The Backstory Okay, let me rewind and give you a little context here. I live in Minnesota, I have lived here for most of my life. My kids grew up here, all their friends are here, Minnesota is basically their life. So when I announced that I’ve got myself a rad job in Arizona, like any other teenagers finding out that they will have to leave all their friends behind—they were stoked! I was about to be Dad of the Year! My kids practically cried tears of joy. In hindsight, they might have been tantrums, but I mean, Dads tend to have a warped sense of reality.  But anyway, the kids were also pretty worried about moving all their stuff from one state to another. We spent weeks talking to movers everywhere and there were more tantrums. What got me all worked up was the fact that everything was so disorganized. So I thought, okay, enough of this, I’m going to get me an app. XNSPY is Pretty Useful, Guys On I went and sat the family together and told them, “Hey, if we’re going to make the move, we’re going to have to be on the same page.” Then I rallied them up and did a fantastic pep talk as well (I have a transcript in case anyone wants to use them on their kids) and then I installed XNSPY on the entire family’s phone. My three kids, my wife and I all had XNSPY parental control on their phones. This may sound like an odd solution to your guys, but get this. Our move was a 2-car process and we were supposed to move shifts in between. We had the moving van which contained all of our stuff and we had the sedan which contained all of our kids. Then there was another bigger van from the moving company that had to corporate with us. So what did XNSPY do? Before we even began the journey, we had marked our routes. All designated drivers were supposed to stay on it. If anyone deviated, the app gave us an alert and we got those twerps in order. All of the vehicles were pretty coordinated. (oxfordbusinessgroup.com) My daughter was most worried about the mover running away with all her things so I suppose checking the map every 10 minutes gave her something to do along the way. Finally, the app helped me and my wife know how my kids were really feeling about the move. I may be out of touch and my Dad-ness may be taking its full form, but I know how hard moving is for kids. The app helped us know what they are talking about with their friends and what is on their minds so we could help them cope with stuff. I think I did a pretty swell job at that. 2015 Roundup: the XNSPY Year in Review

Another year gone! And what a progressive year it has been for us at XNSPY. Our application has made leaps and bounds in the production front and we’ve become bigger and better than ever. Our customer base keeps on growing which has only driven us to make more improvements, and put our think tank together to bring you more features. Let’s take a look back at some of our biggest breakthroughs of the year. XNSPY Includes iCloud Monitoring We kicked off our year by bringing you an alternative to our iPhone app—the iCloud monitoring software. This version of our app required no Jailbreak on the target phone and was easily accessible through your Apple credentials. This way, we were able to get many more iPhone users on board. We realized that a lot of you wanted the complete benefits of a monitoring app with the constraints of the iOS, so we found a great solution in iCloud monitoring. New Features: Kik and Live Snapshots Next up, we wanted to make sure that we leave no bases untouched. That meant that we developed two brand new features. Kik monitoring was the latest addition to our IM monitoring functions. The rising popularity of the messaging service begged us to jump on board. At the same time, we developed the Live Screenshots feature that allows parents/employers to take—the game is in the name—screenshots of the target phone live. Portuguese, Spanish and German Versions XNSPY also went global this year. We started off by introducing the Spanish version for XNSPY. The response was so great that we added Portuguese and German soon after that. All our products and services—including the website, manuals and the Control Panel—are available in those languages. Not to mention that the blogs in the languages are also up and running. iOS 9.2 Compatibility We’ve ended the year on another high by upgrading our iPhone monitoring app to be compatible with the latest iOS 9.2. All those users who had upgraded their operating system were able to continue using XNSPY seamlessly. And it invited even more savvy iPhone users to try our monitoring app as well. And let’s not forget that this news came first in the #12daysofXNSPY series. Here’s to an Innovative 2016! All in all, it has been a year full of breakthroughs, additions, improvements and upgrades. We found ourselves putting our heads together more and more often as our customer base grew bigger. We are absolutely certain that 2016 is going to be another big year for us. For us at XNSPY, the only way to go is ahead. Happy New Year!

Reminder – XNSPY 50% Discount is Still Going! 2 Days Left!

Hello everyone, just a quick reminder to you all that the XNSPY 50% discount offer for the holidays is still going! By clicking the link given above, you can avail any XNSPY product and services for half the price. Which basically means you can enjoy a complete monitoring experience for just about $2, which is an absolute steal. This offer will expire on January 2nd, 2016. Hurry up and take advantage of this fabulous discount while you still have the time. We have already got a wonderful response from all the holiday shoppers out there. We’ve got a whole bunch of new users on board. The old users have used this opportunity to upgrade their accounts to the one they have always wanted. Our goal with this holiday discount was to spread awareness about cybersafety—because at the end of the day, that is what is at the core of XNSPY. Since day one, we have prompted more parents to be part of the mobile monitoring experience. As kids plug in for longer periods of time, they build their own little virtual worlds. But those worlds are not without intruders. They come in the form of strangers that may have a hurtful word or two. Or they may come in the form of malicious attackers that out to exploit the naïve user. And let’s be honest. It is not just stranger danger that worries parents. It is also the content that is no more than a click away for most kids. Children are exposed to all sorts of information these days—most of it good, but some of it bad. XNSPY merely enables you to see what sort of content your child is being exposed to. It lets you be the judge of what is good or bad. It gives you all the monitoring and prevention tools, but lets you take the driver’s seat. Because you, better than anyone else, will know how to protect your child. Let’s not forget that XNSPY is also a brilliant tool for managers around the world to remotely watch over their employees. As a software, XNSPY has worked wonders for businesses who probably cannot pay for elaborate surveillance programs (that cost hundreds of dollars no less) yet, but crave a sophisticated tracking system nonetheless. With this discount, you won’t be spending hundreds of dollars at all—you will only pay around . (provigil) Let that sink in. Hurry up and grab at the opportunity while you can. The discount applies to all versions of XNSPY including the Basic and Premium packages: XNSPY for Android XNSPY for iPhone XNSPY for iCloud (NoJailreak) You can also choose between a monthly, quarterly and yearly plan; all at a 50% discount!

2016 New Year goals on sticky notes

Helping Your Children Keep their New Year’s Resolutions 2016

A new year always comes with new resolutions. A tradition, I feel, is getting increasingly underrated. Kids who have goals know where they are going, so they work for it, and a resolution is the following year’s roadmap. Trouble is, children don’t stick to their resolutions. Now while I understand adolescence is a time where one discovers themselves and changes their minds often, I am also of the belief that one must always have something to work toward. So this year, here is how you can help your kids keep their new year’s resolutions. 1.     Keeping Goals Realistic Here’s where I thing most kids go wrong in their resolutions—they choose goals that maybe too impractical. It is a great thing to dream big. But you must also know that big dreams take time and effort for fulfillment. So break them down into realistic goals. Let me give you an example. A coworker of mine decided last year that they will finally get into shape. But they also understood that in doing so, they would have to make lifestyle changes. That requires you to do little things on a daily basis; like swapping their daily dose of candy for a healthier apples and peanut butter. Your resolutions become easier if you break them down into realistic goals that you can incorporate into your daily of the New Year. 2.     Write the Resolutions Down Another really useful thing that will help you kids keep their resolutions? Writing them down. There is something about the finality of pen and ink that makes you want to commit. Once you’ve written something down, it is there as a game plan. More importantly, it gives you a chance to see how far you’ve come. There is an incredible Harvard study out there that says that people who write down their goals are 10 times more successful than people who don’t. Take away from that what you will. 3.     Touching all Bases It is important that the resolutions you make are well-balanced in all aspects of your life. You need to make sure your kid touches all bases of their life in their start of year goals. Their goal should not just be doing well in school. They should have goals that make them work on their health. They must have goals for their interests and talent. They must have goals for friendships and relationships and family. And they should have other self-improvement goals. 4.     Celebrating Milestones A great thing about writing the goals down is that it helps you develop a timeline of sorts. Any time your kid achieves their goal for the New Year, take it as a chance to celebrate! Not many people stick to their resolutions so if you have, indeed managed to keep your child on track, show them the proper appreciation. 5.     Staying on Track Which brings us to the final tip—staying on track. Resolutions will change and evolve as your child goes through all sorts of new experiences in the year ahead. What is important is that the essence of the goal remains the same. Make sure that your child is still striving for something—be it improvement, learning new skills, or attaining something. Even if they don’t end up achieving the end goal, the work they will put in throughout the year in striving for it will always, always count for something special.

#12DaysofXNSPY On the 11th Day of Christmas, XNSPY Gave to Me…

Photo & Videos Playing! It’s Christmas Eve! And for this very special night, we’re bringing in focus our very special feature—the photo and video monitor. So while you’re cozied up in your ugly Christmas sweater, and are keeping warm sipping on that cocoa, let me tell you about one of the very useful functions of XNSPY. So the photo and video monitoring feature basically lets you find out what image and video files your target phone or tablet has stored within it. On the surface, this may not seem like a function with much tenacity. But consider this: this is the selfie generation. People want to snap and upload pictures of every waking moment, so photos contained in someone’s phone can give you a pretty good idea of what their day was like. At the same time, everyone these days prefers watching movies, television shows and little funny videos on their personal devices rather than the actual television. So when you are able to find out what media is stored on your target phone, you can make sure nothing of the troublesome sort is happening. One of our longest running customers started off using XNSPY because he feared that his children were watching television shows on their phones—the kind of television shows that he had strictly forbidden them to watch. So installing XNSPY on their phones gave him the exact list of all the video files the kids had stored on their tablets and phones so the dad was able to take proper action. We’re almost to the end of our #12DaysofXNSPY series! How are you spending your Christmas Eve, XNSpiers? One thing’s for sure—this year, you have another carol to sing! On the eleventh day of Christmas, XNSPY gave to me, Photo & Videos Playing! Perfect Android Compatibility! Call Listener-a-Listening! Handy Watchlist Alerting! 50% Discount on ALL Packages! Live Screenshots Snapping! Surroundings Recorder Recording! Email Monitor-a-Monitoring! SMS Spy-a-Spying! GPS Trackers-a-Tracking! And brand new iOS 9.2 compatibility!
