What the Harvey Weinstein Case Teaches Parents About Sexual Assault Disclosure

In the recent couple of months, several women have come forward with stories they held back for decades. Allegations of sexual assault flooded the front pages of Hollywood with noted producer Harvey Weinstein at the centre. Even women in power—most notably Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow have come forward with their own stories of how they were assaulted by Weinstein. As it were, Weinstein was to become the catalyst for the biggest sexual predator witch hunt that Hollywood has ever seen. Women from all areas of entertainment have now started to come forward with their own stories of being forced by men in positions of power. And it’s not just famous women; women from all walks of life have brought back the #MeToo hashtag to share their own experiences. Sexual assault has been so prevalent that it is almost expected. The odd comment, the bullying, the passing touches have become the new normal. It is only when things cross an unspoken line that someone decides to speak up. So, why didn’t all these women speak up before? Why did so many of them hold their silence for years—decades even? The answer is not so simple. These Harvey Weinstein events have sparked conversations about a lot of things… and sexual assault disclosure is one of them. Who are the Predators? Who are the Victims? The recent events have quite clearly showcased that the predators were men in powerful positions; at least more so than the women they chose as their victims. As disturbing as that sounds, perhaps that is the reason why someone like Weinstein was able to get away with this for so long. In an interview, actors Matt Damon and George Clooney disclosed their intuitions and perceptions of Weinstein. Apparently, it is an open secret that the man is a bully and a womaniser. Which led me to believe that everyone around him knows of his behavior. Damon mentioned that although he did not right out see Weinstein indulging in sexual deviance, he is sorry for the what-if. I.e. what if there was something he could have done in a certain situation to stop an assault. Essentially, what Hollywood’s biggest exposé has done is start a whole lot of uncomfortable conversations. It has allowed us to question the status quo. Why is it okay for men in more powerful positions to be jerks to women? Why is everyone so inclined to hide away their impunity? Why has Harvey Weinstein gotten away with such disgusting acts while remaining such an influential figure? And finally, why are people shaming the women for holding their silence for so long? Why is Disclosure So Difficult? There are plenty of reasons why someone might not want to disclose their encounter with sexual assault. Some women simply feel like no one would believe them. Many women who Weinstein assaulted were up and coming actresses who he promised fame and fortune. Hollywood pays more heed to status. The richer, the more famous, the more talked about the better. So these actresses were, essentially, nobodies. And Harvey Weinstein was a hotshot producer. Perhaps these women thought that no one would believe them. And if they spoke out against such a powerful man, their careers would be over. Here is the learning point for parents: make sure you monitor your child’s correspondence with anyone in more powerful positions than them. This could be teaches, counsellors, football coaches, older students, or even their peers who are in more powerful social positions. If you can’t gauge the kind of relationship they have with the aforementioned people in person, you could monitor your child’s text messages. All this will do is help you find out if your child if someone is taking undue advantage of your child. Listen to your child when they talk about their day at school and believe them. Which brings me to another reason why disclosure is difficult. Women feel like their stories will be trivialised. Take Weinstein himself. Now if that Damon and Clooney interview tells us anything, Weinstein’s misconduct was an open secret in Hollywood. He was a known bully. He humiliated the people who auditioned for him. This attitude of tormenting, humiliating and objectifying the people he worked with was normalised. Damon mentions how people would rejoice when they “survived a Weinstein audition”. So if an up and coming actress was to take on a well-connected and rich Hollywood hotshot, she was just as well kissing her career goodbye. Moreover, this woman would become just another unknown name who tried to defame a reputed Hollywood producer. People would automatically assume that she was trying to exploit the man to put her foot through the door and eventually get the headlines she needed to get fame. It’s vile. It is absolutely disgusting, but so it is. Then there is the painful fact that most women did not believe that the incident that happened to them was serious enough to be disclosed. Whether it was a passing remark, or a touch or something more inappropriate, women are still debating over how much is too much. What do Parents Take Away from this? Keeping these events in mind, here’s what I would tell all the parents who read this blog: If you child tells you that someone has hurt them in any way, believe them. Give them a safe environment and ensure that there is no contact, physical or otherwise between your child and their perpetrator. You may use call blockers for this purpose. Keep an eye on your child’s text messages and social media interactions. Ensure that they do not speak to or mingle with people who can take advantage of their circumstance. Look for signs of distress in your child. Are they being reclusive? Is there any change in their sleeping and eating habits? Are they going to school regularly? Keep watch. Are you aware of all the adults in your child’s life? This includes teachers, principals, coaches, instructors and the like. The women

Modern Workplace Controversies
Employee Monitoring

Why Employee Monitoring is Still Relevant in 2018

Managing people is not easy. There are so many factors that you need to keep track of- especially if you own the company or establishment. In cases like these you usually trust employees to remain loyal to you or your company and do their job. But it is this very trust that employees will use and start to deceive you. This deception may start at a low level like them going home before they are supposed to and other small things that mat seem harmless but they will use these acts as a stepping stone to eventually hurt you, your company and your business. So you as a manager and a boss need to start taking steps and make use of all the tools you require to keep your business afloat and your employees in check. If you don’t do so, horrendous cases like these start to arise. XNSPY is one such tool that a manager or a boss may use in order to keep themselves up to date with anything and everything their employees might do. The importance of keeping employees in check can never be underestimated and a boss must always be vigilant. Even if you have a friendly relationship with them, there are times where you must put your foot down. Loss of Respect for Authority You, the authority figure, will start to lose respect among your employees and your general office environment if you should allow them to continually deceive you. This loss of respect for you will result in nothing but harm for you since it makes you look bad and people start taking you less seriously and take your orders and directives for granted. Even if your employees are carrying out what you have asked of them, they will not give their 100% since they now think that the authority figure is easy to deceive. This is a situation that you cannot let yourself get into. At this stage people are mostly going to disregard what you are going to say because they feel there are no consequences for their actions. If you find yourself at such a stage you can get XNSPY to help you and monitor those elements within your workforce which you feel are against the progress of your company and your authority. But you must not let yourself get to this point at all. Using XNSPY you have to nip all the problems in the bud. XNPSY allows for bosses to monitor incoming and outgoing messages on employees’ phones, look at the content of their e-mails and so much more. (https://bellarinova.com) A responsible manager would use all the tools on their disposal to ensure a smooth running environment and a smooth running company. So why not use the extensive features of XNPSY and cut out all the elements that have no respect for the management and by extension- the company? Remember you have a lot of reasons as to why you should monitor your employees, and you need to know which ones to look at. Loss and Decline One of the many reasons for a company’s failure are a disloyal workforce. Everything else could be going absolutely perfectly but if the actual force behind the company’s day to day affairs are not honest then there the company is destined to be a failure. Dishonesty arises in many shapes and forms and managers must realize that they have the ammunition to thwart these in whatever form they may arise. Dishonesty may range from lying about working hours to stealing company supplies and money. What you need to do as a manager is to catch the dishonest party before they cause any harm to your company. And you can only do that if you have the correct information about their plans. Such employees usually like to brag to friends and family that they are involved in such acts. It is through these messages, calls and texts that you can catch them red-handed. You need to remain vigilant manage your employees well in order to keep your company running the best you can. If for instance you let your employees continually deceive you and not do anything about it that then your company is only going to face decline and eventual loss. But if you keep your wits about you and keep those employees in check then you are a good manager. Keep Everything in Your Hands Too many bosses fall in the trap of friendship with their employees. Yes, you must keep amicable relations with your employees but remember, you are their boss. It is as if they are your children and you their parent. A good parent is a parent, not a friend. This is exactly what you must be with your employees and workforce. XNSPY is honestly the best way to go about monitoring your employees. You can- in full secret look at what your employees are doing and then take steps accordingly to take actions against it. Whatever the situation may be, XNSPY has got your back and is there to help you with its array of features all of the time. Now with XNSPY the control center to your employees is in your hands quite literally. You just have to realize the opportunities that you may be faced with where you can use the power of XNSPY’s employee monitoring capabilities to your advantage. Because only you as a manager or a boss can truly care about the place you are working at, but you need to make everyone else working under you feel the same way. Only thorough this understanding of the company’s values and finding common ground between employees and bosses can progress be achieved. But this can only happen when you as a boss or manager are certain that there are no elements in your workforce deliberately trying to cheat and deceive you. If there are, you now know what effects they might have on the company and what tools you can use to eradicate

All the Best Tech Debuted at the CES 2018—Part 2

In the last part we talked about some of the most impressive and handy technology that might be of use to us in the future. In this we will talk about some more of the wonderful technology and the applications it might or might not have in your lives. Most of the technology shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show are mainly concepts and fresh ideas that the industry giants want to display to the world. Some of this tech might not even have real world application but are only for novelty and just a showcase of the company’s progress. Still this technology is extremely fun to look at and even more fun to talk about so that is just what we will do. Also, even if this technology has real world applications we can expect to see it in the markets worldwide by a few years unless otherwise stated. So without further ado, here are some more of XNSPY’s favorite technology of the Consumer Electronics show 2018 Sony’s Robot Dog Aibo So if you were a technology buff back in the 1990’s you most definitely would have heard of Sony’s robot dog Aibo. It was a cool –albeit sort of odd looking robot dog that was supposed to be the replacement to man’s best friend. Well it never really replaced any real dogs but the concept and technology was still fun and years ahead of its time. It even won the 1999 Good Design Grand Prize. It was novelty item that was hugely popular in Japan but never really caught on in the United States (or anywhere else for that matter) But with the Consumer Electronics Show of 2018 Sony decided to bring back this lovable robot dog but update to what a robot dog in 2018 should be like. With OLED eyes, a camera on its nose and back, touch sensors everywhere on its body and facial recognition- Aibo sure is back with a bang. Updated to look more 2018, Aibo is now a cute and lovable looking puppy with eyes that will just melt your heart. This puppy has quite a brain as well. The robot dog will recognize faces and will build better relationships with people who play with it more.  Petting it inn certain places will generate different responses, say if you pet it underneath the chin it will react accordingly. Aibo is only confirmed to ship to Japan as of yet but seems to respond to English as well so we might have to wait and see if they launch it to the rest of the world. Kohler Numi Intelligent Toilet I have never really understood people and company’s obsessions with having to talk to every piece of tech there is. It has always been easier to type out the information or access a menu but then again here we are- with a futuristic toilet that will talk to you. American furniture and plumbing company Kohler showed off a pretty futuristic toilet-it became quite the spectacle on the floor. Honestly this thing looks like someone ripped it off a spaceship. It has adjustable lights and speakers that will make for quite the bathroom break.  Who knew that one day that even your toilets would have speakers? It has this minimalist and modern design which was pretty successful in drawing huge crowds to look at it. Still, the speakers are pretty useful when it comes to this toilets features. Speaking of those features- all of those will be controlled by a central control panel. Everything from bidet temperature and pressure to how intense the air pressure would be when the drying function is on. Also-Kohler have also ended the age old argument of the toilet seat being left up. The toilet set will by itself raise when you step on the sensor and then will do down when you are done. But here comes the best part, Kohler will soon implement Amazon Echo and Google Home integration, so you can talk to your toilet and tell it to adjust the temperature and pressure on the bidet. You can also have them read some reading material if you have forgotten your phone and there are no magazines available. 2018, everyone. What a time to be alive. L’Oreal UV Sense This was a pretty cool piece of technology that anyone who cares for their skin will love. This tiny device is small enough to go on your fingernail and can detect UV rays coming from the sun and just how much your body is receiving. This tiny button sized chip can store up to three months of data that can then be used to give you the best recommended skin care tips based on how much you are exposed to sunlight. The chip transfers the data to your smart phone when held close through NFC and then the L’Oreal app takes care of the rest. The app evaluates the data and tells you which product you should be using, how much you should be using and at what times. The small chip is reusable and does not have a battery. It is currently only wearable on the fingernail and it designed to look like fingernail art as well. But L’Oreal have said that they are looking to release more iterations of the UV Sense. Future chips will be able to go on watches, hair pins, sun glasses and basically anywhere that is exposed to sunlight. All of these items will work in the same way as the fingernail chip does. My Special Aflac Duck This piece of technology is one that has a special place in my heart. Most of the technology that is designed for children revolves around technology and mindless entertainment but this one is different. Built in the shape of a cute and fluffy duck, it is aimed to comfort children who are diagnosed with cancer and are undergoing chemo therapy. This duck is to serve as a companion to children who can

All the Best Tech Debuted at the CES 2018—Part 1

The Consumer Electronics Show is an annual event where technology giants from the industry come together and show off all the technology that they have been working on over the past few years. These events always look like something out of a Star Trek movie, with everything looking so futuristic, shiny and new. Some of the technology shown at CES is actually unbelievable and surreal that it becomes difficult to believe that we have come so far with technology. Like for example: It is weird to think that we have arrived to a point with technology where the grocery store might come to you in a futuristic looking minibus. There were a lot of surprises and a lot of things to be awed at in CES 2018. Attending these shows might actually make one’s head spin. There is so much technology at these events that it legitimately becomes tiresome with everything you might be excited about. But worry not, XNSPY has compiled a list of technology items ranging from phones to TVs that you should be most excited about. Keep in mind, there was a lot of technology at display at CES 2018 so there are some things that we might have missed. We have compiled a list of things that we were most excited about and felt our readers would like too. So without further ado, here is XNSPY’s best of CES 2018! Toyota’s Roaming Stores We already talked about this a bit above and it deserves to be talked about some more. Japanese motor vehicle giant Toyota revealed to the world their “e-Pallete”- an electric self-driving mini bus that os looking to change how businesses work and how we might live our lives. The minibus dubbed the “e-Pallete” is a boxy, large and futuristic looking minibus that CEO of Toyota Akio Toyoda says will bring the store to you. The travelling minibus can serve as a small store for retailers to use and sell their products everywhere. Small shoe stores, a tiny convenience store, and a clothes store- the possibilities are endless. The usefulness of this e-Pallete do not end here. Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda revealed that Toyota are already working with Amazon, Uber, Pizza Hut and Didi.  The minibus might be used as a carpool of sorts with companies like Uber. Imagine ordering a pizza and having the entire pizza parlor come to you and making the pizza in front of your house. The e-Pallete can be used as travelling clinics and medical centers to get medical assistance to people quick as ever. This minibus is an amazing new technology but it still in the works at the moment. Toyota say they are still working on this and will start initial testing in 2020. CEO of Toyota Akio Toyoda said he hopes to show off more at the Japanese Olympics in 2020. (www.genusinnovation.com) Vivo Smartphone with In-Display Fingerprint Sensor The Chinese device manufacturer Vivo put on display the world’s first in-display fingerprint sensor on a smartphone. Usually manufacturers have to make an entire separate button or place on the already tightly knit smartphone. In this day and age of bezel-less displays putting a fingerprint scanner on the phone becomes a huge problem. But this problem will now by the looks of it fade away. Smartphone manufacturers have been trying their hardest to implement this tech ever since the bezel-less design became popular but have constantly faced failure. Even Apple in their new iPhone X reportedly tried to implement it and failed. The ‘under-display’ fingerprint scanner works because of OLED technology. Vivo teamed up with Synaptics, a company that brought its own ‘Clear ID’ technology to Vivo and helped it to achieve the under-display scanner. ‘Clear ID’ is a sensor technology that is more secure and faster than conventional fingerprint scanners. Unlocking the phone makes the fingerprint sensor ‘retract’ under the display which was an odd sight to see. Still, it will be interesting to see how this technology is further improved upon. Only drawback here is that this feature will only be available with the highest end of smartphones which of course will cost a lot. OLED is expensive and since the under-display scanner only works with OLED we will have to spend a lot of money on phones with this feature. HTC Vive Pro Virtual Reality has taken the world by storm in the last couple of years. It has amazed and awed people by the wonderful possibilities it has and still continues to do so. Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Samsung, PlayStation VR are a few names that are leading the world in virtual reality technology. The HTC Vive though, has been adopted by the gaming community as a favorite. The Vive certainly took off with many gamers preferring it over other virtual reality platforms. Virtual Reality in itself is in the process of becoming a staple in the world of video games and the all new HTV Vive Pro is here to cement that fact. The HTC Vive Pro ups the resolution of the headset by a whopping 78% over the last model. There has been an addition of two front facing cameras on the headset, new built in surround sound headphones and a better ergonomic design. But the best feature of them all is one that everyone who has owned a virtual reality headset has been yearning for. The HTC Vive Pro will be completely wireless. Yes, there will be no wires involved thanks to a partnership with Intel. Virtual reality has so many implementations within the real world. Artists, teachers, scientists, students- so many people can utilize the HTC Vive Pro for their use. The front facing camera will show the player their surroundings without having to take the headset off. This has serious potential for the implementation of augmented reality within virtual reality. That wraps up Part 1 of XNSPY’s favorite technology displayed at CES 2018! We will cover some more of our favorite tech in a Part 2 to

Since no installation is required, XNSPY will need access to the target device’s Apple credentials to fetch the data stored on the iCloud. Don’t worry, it’s just easy as above. Cyberbullying

Looking for Signs of Cyberbullying Before It’s Too Late

Cyber bullying has been on the rise for year and if you read our review of the years reported cases of cyber bullying you will realize that it is not going anywhere and is the responsibility of parents t correctly identify and face the problems a child might face when being cyber bullied. The fact of the matter is that an entire portion of our child’s lives is hidden from parents most of it is behind a screen online. Parents are scarily unaware of what their kids are up to, who they are contacting, what kind of content they are consuming and what ideas they are picking up from websites online. Most parents falter and are ignorant in keeping up with their kids online live simply because they do not understand it. Your child may be suffering at the hands of online bullies and a parent might not even notice since they are not keeping up with their child’s online life. How scary of a though is that. If gone un-noticed, they might end up with the same fate as Amanda Todd. So you need to act fast and equip yourselves with tools like XNSPY and make sure you are protecting your child from harm. But before you do that, you need to identify the signs of cyber bullying and check if your child is displaying them. Remember, every child shows these sigs differently but these are some general ones that you will need to look out for. Unexplained Anger or Seclusion after Going Online If your child is starting to frequently display signs of anger and melancholy it is time that you looked at their internet usage. It can be hard to do so since children are so secretive about their online use, especially on their smartphones. If your child seems to go in to hiding after spending a bit of time online you can start to assume that there is something awry. Small bouts of anger, bad mood and general anger towards everyone around them are tell tale signs that they are not in control of something they wish to be. All of these signs may point to abuse they might be facing online. Kids and especially teenagers are very careful of maintaining an online persona or a presence. And as much of their time of the day is spent online, you can be sure that this online conflict is causing a great deal of stress to them and the online personae they wish to maintain. You as a parent NEED to know just what is making your child so distressed and one surefire way to get all the knowledge you need is to get XNSPY and use its array of features to get all the knowledge you need about your child’s problems. Quiet and Timid Behavior As a parent you need t understand that it is hard to admit for a teenager that they are being bullied. Admitting to a weakness is something many adults tend to avoid as well and you can only imagine just how hard it would be for a teenager who is just getting their first steps into the real world. Your child might tend to grow quieter, and give vague answers to questions you might ask. Remember, this is entirely different from normal bullying- although it does carry some of the same aspects. Most of the effects of cyber bullying are psychological and do not manifest in physical injuries as they would have in ‘normal’ bullying. You as a parent need to be quick in order to recognize these signs in your child. Psychological effects can build up and make your child unsure of themselves and even hurt their ego. In these formative years it is very essential for them to realize their self worth and if that is constant ly under attack without you there to safeguard it, well your child Is going down a dark path then indeed. It is because of this very reason that so many parents are using XNSPY to monitor what their child is doing online. Emails, messages, and even calls can be monitored. This will give you great insight into why your child is being bullied and what you can do to help them. All you have to do is make sure they do not feel alone in all of this. Lying and Making Excuses You will find that your child will start to make an increasing amount of excuses to explain for actions that might seem completely invisible to you. But then again there are some things that you wil immediately start to notice. Like how they are trying their hardest to avoid meeting their peers at school or just going to school at all. It is very possible that these very peers are the ones who are bullying your child online and you can make yourself sure of this by checking your child’s messages, calls and texts with XNSPY. If you recognize some of the names then you can get in contact with the parent of the aggressor and sort this whole issue out. You might not know it but this intervention from you is the very thing your child was waiting for. Make sure you cover all bases and check every incoming and outgoing message, picture, e-mail and also keep up to date with where they might go if they are not home. God knows what trouble they might get themselves into.  Remember, you might be the only one in their life who they feel they can easily talk to and seek comfort in. You must become that comfort and support for them if you think there is something is wrong. Most teenagers will never come out and say what they actual problem is, but will rather be vague and try their hardest to hide what is actually wrong. It should fall on you as a parent to know when they are feeling distressed and when they are feeling this way

Avoid Facebook Parenting Groups
Parenting, Social Media

Here’s Why You Should Avoid Facebook Parenting Groups

Facebook is usually almost always full of drama and controversy since it is a platform for socializing and interacting with different people. As in real life, you’ll meet people who have different opinions from you and will hence argue with you about it. But in real life, they might remain civil and an calm. Online, it’s an entirely different story since they have somewhat of a shield from direct confrontation and people will use this shield to protect themselves from anything that attacks their ignorance. Not only do they have a shield, they have a sword too, a weapon, that they will use as a tool to say some not so very nice things to you. This in the case of parents, takes a vicious turn sometimes. Facebook parenting groups are common especially when it comes to school groups. Parents will talk and communicate about the school and it’s related events. Some groups are merely there to serve as a parenting community. Parenting Groups: Worth all the fuss? Now suppose someone posts a picture of a child with an illness, they list out all of the symptoms and things that have been happening to the child. Sure they can easily go to a doctor, but they’d like to have an idea of what’s going on first. So someone comments that there’s nothing to be worried about since that type of illness is pretty common in their age group. They could be absolutely right. Someone else comments saying that their child had the same symptoms and they fell very ill and needed serious medical attention. They too could be right. Now, more often than not, parents will get defensive and will take offense at the fact that someone told them that they’re raising their child in the wrong way Even friendly advice may come off as something accusatory of child neglect. Anyone taking part in these groups can easily tell how dynamic, dichotomous and divisive these groups are. Look through enough and you’ll find that these places are quite nasty. According to a 2015 PEW Research Center Case Study on parents and social media, 75% of parents use social media with Facebook being the most popular of them all. While the parents may use the platform to stay connected and as a means of networking like anyone else, they’re also there for parenting related information and social support. Really, how many pregnant women did you know while you yourself were pregnant? It’s quite a scary time when you’re having a child and then when you’ve actually had it. You feel stranded and alone and obviously you’d go to somewhere that has easy support and connectivity. The prospect of it sounds pretty interesting too, you’ll get to learn a lot about parenting through firsthand experience. What Actually Goes On In These Groups? To anyone younger who grew up with the internet, you can easily tell how much of a generation gap there is. The thing with older parents is that they think the internet is a blur of much of the same thing. They think that Facebook encapsulates everything on the internet, including news websites, media websites, even search engines (yes, we’re alluding to those funny screen captures of grandmas searching for short bread recipes on Walmart’s Facebook page.) So everything they see on Facebook is taken as gospel. Next you’ll see a bunch of terms and acronyms that make absolutely no sense. “DH”,”VBAC”, “EBF”. DH stands for Dear Husband and VBAC stands for Vaginal Birth after Cesarean—What? Even after you learn all of these very confusing terms, you’ll find that they don’t quite roll of the tongue. Next thing you’ll find is how the simplest posts can devolve into a thread of hundreds of comments that all amount to meaningless gibberish. Sure all might not be lost, for every five posts that would make you want to leave the group, there would be one actually helpful post about say, dealing with stubbornness or feeding a picky eater. But eventually you’ll realize that as helpful and informative as those one out of every 5 or so posts, it really isn’t worth it. You can go from group to group, hoping that there’s less of a divide in one of them, only to find the gap between opinions widens. The arguments about milk formula and how it makes your child dumber or the arguments about vaccines (we cannot even begin to describe the pain of reading through them) weren’t really the problem. The real problem is that, being a parent isn’t something you acquire after years of practice or expertise. Whether or not you practiced to be a parent or you didn’t, every single person is a parent. It simply isn’t something you can group people under. That is why many online communities especially Facebook groups are flawed. Simply having the umbrella of a common topic and the assumption that we are all fans of a certain show or parents and that we’ll be the best of friends because of this common ground between us, is simply flawed. This is why groups that offer a welcoming and safe environment always feel off. Their message and their actual content is vastly different. Is There Any Hope At All? Toronto parent Tanya Hayles founded the Facebook group Black Moms Connection in 2015. Originally open only to Canadians, the group eventually opened up to black moms around the world. It now has close to 9,000 members. “I was a member of a few parenting groups when my son was born until about age 2,” Hayles says. “I felt like while there were a lot of things that were universal to motherhood, there were some definite cultural differences.” Hayley’s Facebook has a dedicated admin group with a clear vision to provide a safe space for black moms to speak their mind about their parenting concerns. The questions of children facing racism does happen often and non-white members take it not as seriously as they should. But

What Degree Of Involvement Should One Have With Their Child?

Your child probably leads a life you might not be aware of, as with any child. They have their friends and social life, and how they handle those situations in a healthy social environment is how they learn to grow and exceed to eventually become adults. We’ve previously talked about hyper connectivity and how your child is constantly connected to the internet to social media or forums or whatever. They consider their ‘real’ life to be online sometimes or feel more comfortable being online. So their actual real life is a second fiddle to them. Being Involved Now, your child probably does have friends in real life and they probably socialize. We aren’t saying that they have to be loners and they only have friends online. No, every type of child has a ‘second life’ in their lives. Whether it’s to maintain an online persona, or to live as a moderator online or a gamer, they have a different life. Many of these things might be beyond what you understand. They might be involved in forums and discussions that you either don’t care for or don’t care to understand. This permissive behavior of letting your children dwell unsupervised online can be justified to be like as the same as leaving them alone on the street. Imagine a 13-16 year old wandering the streets alone. Now imagine the same online. By allowing this type of quite ‘agreement’ to go along, you are allowing yourself to distance yourself from you child. They go along with what you they do, you go along with what you do. This shouldn’t go along very far. You need to realize that your child’s activities need to be supervised because they don’t know any better. Any harm except physical can and will come to your child online such as being scammed, having their money stolen, bullying, manipulation, being targets to predators and much more. You would never let your child be this defenseless in the real world, right? You’d give them a phone, tell them to call regularly, set curfew and ask them when they’d get home etc etc. XNSPY and Getting Involved You should know what’s going on in your child’s life. You should know what they’re up to online, who they’re talking to (to check if they’re talking to anyone who they aren’t supposed to), going to websites where they’re susceptible to being scammed or bombarded with malware XNSPY will help you be on top of all of that and more. You will have the ability to monitor their messages, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp. XNSPY gives you the unique ability to look into your child’s life. You will be aware of their online activities, who they’re are in contact with, if they ever leave the house, you will know where they are exactly because of its unique real time location tracker. You will have a live tracker of where they’re going. You’ll also have a log documenting all the places they’ve been to for future reference. XNSPY insures that you have a security measure like no other. You will have an upper hand for if something does not go according to plan. Your child isn’t going in blind into the online world, or at least unsupervised. They’ll still have your guidance and watchful eye. Whether you tell them that you’re observing them is up to you, but as we always say, give them some breathing space. They could be developing some important personality traits and skills. Their ‘second life’ isn’t necessarily a bad thing if they’re being productive with it. When they aren’t being productive and when it’s becoming something quite the opposite; that is when you act with XNSPY.

Instagram Unveils New Anti-Cyberbullying Tool

Instagram is looking to make the platform a safer and more welcoming place by adding filtering tools aimed at reducing abusive or bullying like comments. The new programs is specifically targeted at bullying. As with many of Facebook’s enterprises, artificial intelligence is being uses as a means to eradicate the website of abhorrent or harmful content. Algorithms will be used to try to guess whether a comment is abusive or not, obviously with the aid of user’s correspondence. Such as the option of filtering of specific key words in YouTube comments given to YouTube channel holders, Instagram will not allow users to filter out specific key words associated with abusive. Group blocking will also be a new feature associated with these new updates. Users will be able to block whole groups of people instead of going at it one by one. This will come in handy when certain message boards or forums decide to target one person and raid their account with nasty comments etc. “Kindness has been in the DNA of Instagram from our earliest days, and as our community grows — now to 800 million — we are working to make Instagram the kindest and most inclusive online community,” Instagram COO Marne Levine said in a statement. “We want Instagram to be a welcoming platform for people of all backgrounds to express themselves. One way we’re doing that is by providing tools that enable people to control their own comment space.” Instagram is clearly taking steps in the right direction by taking user security seriously. Under Facebook an integration of artificial technology, users are given protection. Seventy six percent of American teens ages 13 to 17 use Instagram and 25 percent said that they have experienced repeated cyberbullying on their devices or on the internet, says the U.S Department of Health and Human Services. How to Enable Comment Control As one of the largest social media platforms, Instagram is making it a point to curb of any sort of bullying. To set up the new security update, update to the latest version on Instagram off of the App Store or Play Store. Enter the app and navigate to the settings and then to the comments. Turn on Enable Keyword Filters to add words to that you’d like to restrict. If you account is public and accessible to all, you can choose who can and can’t comment on your posts. You can even select the type of people you want to censor your posts from such as the people you follow or your followers. Whether your account is public or private, you’ll be able to block out other comments on your posts in a more encompassing way. The tedious task or removing one comment after another will no longer be an issue. Popular Instagram accounts often come under fire from online groups with the accounts being hacked or deleted, with the actual owner now having to build everything from the ground up. Things now look up for anyone fighting against cyber bullying!

A Crash Course on Using Your Smartphone to Become a Smart Parent

It is never going to be easy being a parent. Kids will always be a handful and will almost all of the time try and one-up you. In this day and age of social media and smartphones and the internet, parents are being left behind at a rate faster than anyone could have imagined.  Since the kids are growing up with all this new technology they pick up its nuances pretty easily whereas parents who did not have technology growing up still have a hard time picking up how to use it. Kids these days are almost always interacting with technology be it their iPads, iPhones, their computers or whatever else they might have. But the number one technology used most by children and even teens are smartphones. Smartphones have replaced desktop computers are the primary form of access to the internet for many kids from all around the world. As a parent this narrows down what you have to search for in order to keep your children in line. Remember, a good parent is NOT a friend but a good parent. Too many parents allow their kids leeway to do things they should not just so they can win their friendship but what they do not realize is that their children may end up using this ‘friendship’ to pull the wool over their eyes and deceive them. Fortunately, tools like XNSPY allow for parents to keep up to date with their kids. These tools like XNSPY put parents on the fast track to learn what their kids are doing and what they might use to deceive you. Keeping up with kids is getting harder and harder everyday as technology moves ahead faster and faster. Fortunately, there are many tools online that will help a parent. What Parents Need to Do Exactly Parent need not worry as they have the tools available to them; they need to familiarize themselves with the easy to learn features and they can start their way to being a smart parent. Well a smart parent is a parent who keeps up to date with what their children are doing, what technology they are using and who they are keeping in contact with.  A smart parent might accomplish all of this by simply monitoring their child’s internet usage through their smartphone. You’ll need to narrow down what they are doing on each of their apps. You can pretty easily do this with XNSPY and its array of features.  You need to install XNSPY on your own and your child’s phones and this way you will be able to monitor what they are doing and who they are interacting with online. Know where they are Going Too many parents will allow their teenage children to go out at night to parties and other events which is not necessarily a bad thing to do but you never know when your kids might use this as an opportunity to deceive you and go somewhere else. It becomes your responsibility as a parent to know where they are headed even if you do not intend to do anything with the information. Fortunately for parents, applications like XNSPY will allow them to safely and secretly track their children’s location as well as look at messages, images and documents they might send or receive on their phones on various messaging apps. So XNSPY’s tracking can help you to check if your kids are lying to you or not. Know Who They Are Messaging It is a scary thought to think that your children might be in contact with sexual predators online and that thought is completely justified because the internet has made it infinitely easier for them to contact and solicit explicit imagery from children. Children even contact their favorite personalities on YouTube and things like this end up happening. So you need to constantly keep every interaction they have online and let them know that you are monitoring them. Of course you can stop doing this when you feel they have reached an appropriate age but until then you can use XNSPY’s great functionalities to help you to become a better and more observant parent. XNSPY helps you to observe some of the most popular apps today such as Snapchat, Instagram, kik, WhatsApp and more. XNSPY allows users to monitor sent and received messages and images as well. This can help parents identify and monitor their children’s activities online. Knowing who your children message online can also help a parent in keeping their children safe. Know What Sites they are Visiting Their online activities are not limited to their phones and the applications they use. Internet browsing history and emails can give you a great insight into the lives and interactions your children may have online. Internet browsing history especially can tell you what your kids are exactly doing and you can use that information to better take care of you children and make sure that they are not deceiving you. You can use another great feature of XNSPY to alert you if and when certain keywords appear in their online interactions.  So for example: the word ‘drug’ appears in their search terms, as a parent you will be immediately notified via text/email alerts. Keeping up with your children is not as hard as it may sound especially if you have the right tools. Within days you can learn how to use and put into use XNSPY’s great features into use.
