Everything You Need to Know About the Gruesome ‘Blue Whale Challenge’—Part 1

Trends on the internet such as the Ice-Bucket Challenge and other like it are harmless and great for raising awareness to a subject that may not have much awareness to it to begin with. But positive ‘games’ and challenges like the Ice-Bucket challenge are few and far in-between. The internet is a big place and challenges like these pop up from time to time but unfortunately they are rather dark in their nature and cause physical harm to the people who participate in these challenges. Such is the Blue Whale Challenge. This challenge has been the cause of many suicides and self-harm related incidents among teens and even young adults across the world. Players or participants are duped into following orders and eventually end up hurting themselves or even committing suicide. The challenges are sent through messaging apps on smartphones. Messages are very easy to hide and because most messaging apps have end-to-end encryption, which makes it difficult for authorities to catch the culprits. What makes it more complicated is that teens will willingly take up this challenge and continue to do it for an extended period of time without anyone ever finding out what they are up to. What Exactly is the Blue Whale Challenge? The Blue Whale Challenge originated in Russia and was invented by “F57”, a death group on a European social media website. It was started by a psychology student, Philipp Budeikin who was determined to ‘clean’ society of people he said were of no value to it. The challenge basically consists of a series of tasks that an ‘administrator’ or proponent send to a recipient or participant over a 50 day period. The first few steps involve the participant willingly give away their personal information such as pictures, addresses, social media login passwords etc. This is done just so if the participant backs out, they can be blackmailed online and their personal information can be posted everywhere. It should be made clear that the Blue Whale Challenge does not involve downloading any app or visiting any website to play the game. Participants will receive messages on apps like WhatsApp. Participants will then willingly play the game; it begins with simple tasks such as visiting graveyards at night, standing up on rooftops, waking up early in the morning. But then the tasks get malicious and start including self-harm related activities. Tasks will then involve poking one-self with needles, carving out motifs(such as a Blue Whale) on your body with knives and other tasks related to self-harm. When the task is completed, the participant must send photographic evidence to the administrator. Participants are usually teens and pre-teens since they are easy to manipulate and administrators of the Blue Whale Challenge will target this demographic since they know how easy it is to make teens and pre-teens do what they want to. Following are the 50 tasks a participant must complete. Carve with a razor “f57” on your hand; send a photo to the curator. Wake up at 4.20 a.m. and watch psychedelic and scary videos that curator sends you. 3. Cut your arm with a razor along your veins, but not too deep, only 3 cuts, send a photo to the curator. 4. Draw a whale on a sheet of paper, send a photo to curator. 5. If you are ready to “become a whale”, carve “YES” on your leg. If not– cut yourself many times (punish yourself) 6. Task with a cipher. 7. Carve “f40” on your hand, send a photo to curator. 8. Type “#i_am_whale (rus. #я_кит) in your VKontakte status. 9. You have to overcome your fear. 10. Wake up at 4:20 a.m. and go to a roof (the higher the better) 11. Carve a whale on your hand with a razor, send a photo to curator. 12. Watch psychedelic and horror videos all day. 13. Listen to music that “they” (curators) send you. 14. Cut your lip 15. Poke your hand with a needle many times 16. Do something painful to yourself, make yourself sick 17. Go to the highest roof you can find, stand on the edge for some time. 18. Go to a bridge, stand on the edge 19. Climb up a crane or at least try to do it 20. The curator checks if you are trustworthy 21. Have a talk “with a whale” (with another player like you or with a curator) in Skype 22. Go to a roof and sit on the edge with your legs dangling 23. Another task with a cipher. 24. Secret task 25. Have a meeting with a “whale” 26. The curator tells you the date of your death and you have to accept it 27. Wake up at 4:20 a.m. and go to rails (visit any railroad that you can find) 28. Don’t talk to anyone all day 29. Make a vow that “you’re a whale” 30-49. Every day you wake up at 4:20 a.m., watch horror videos, listen to music that “they” send you, make 1 cut on your body per day, and talk “to a whale.” 50. Jump off a high building. Take your life.   There have a number of reported suicides around the world. From Argentina, to India, to the United States teenagers and pre-teens have committed suicide  because of this challenge. A 22 year old survivor of the Blue Whale Challenge revealed details of why and how participants will continue to do the tasks. They are mentally tortured and are blackmailed into doing the tasks or else their information is leaked online and their lives may also be destroyed since the administrators know their addresses and they can leak it to the Blue Whale Challenge community. How XNSPY can help XNSPY allows parents and guardians to safely monitor and view sent and received messages by their children. If God forbid your children receive and start playing the Blue Whale Challenge, you can step in and nip the problem in the bud. Parents can step in before things

WhatsApp Announces New Business App and What it Means for WhatsApp Spy

WhatsApp is preparing to bring in a monetization system into its app, finally, by charging large companies and enterprises for a better communications app that will allow these companies a better, more efficient way of communication with their customers. A free app along the same lines will also be available for smaller local businesses, even though it hasn’t gotten into too many details about this smaller business app. The functionality of the app will allow international companies to ‘provide customers with useful notifications such as flight times, delivery confirmations and other updates’. Matt Idea, Chider Operating Officer of WhatsApp Inc. told Wall Street Journal: “We don’t have the details of the monetization figured out”. The company however did detail that is wants to aid “someone placing an order with a local bakery or looking at new styles from a clothing store and shopkeepers who use WhatsApp to stay in touch with hundreds of customers from a single smartphone”. The offer also includes a more conclusive way to respond to messages. Business App by WhatsApp WhatsApp began testing verified accounts for large business weeks ago which is how companies will represent themselves on the app. Perhaps WhatsApp will charge these large companies such as aire lines or e-commerce websites or even banks to have official representatives hired to manage an account or even sending a high amount of messages. Since Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp, is dabbling in AI, the possibility of artificial intelligence bots aiding communication isn’t totally out of the window. These Conversations with businesses and secured by end to end encryption, like any other conversation on WhatsApp, which also means it will come with all the regular quirks that any ordinary contact comes with on the app such as blocking. Interestingly, one might not have to have a business contact number saved for it to show up on their WhatsApp contact list, a business’ name will appear as what they have registered to WhatsApp. WhatsApp could perhaps design a whole other directory where users could search the business they want to stay in contact with. This could also very much mean that business could contact users with ads or offers. Or it could do what Facebook does and let a business only contact a user when said user has initiated the conversation themselves. Not allowing businesses to contact you first, WhatsApp says that “it would make it easier for people to communicate with the business they want to reach, emphasis on mine” WhatsApp also states that the Business App, or enterprise solution will at first e free however plans are in store to charge business. Some uses the Business App offers and the enterprise solution offer are the ability to create a verified account with business information such as address, description, hours and “Features for helping manage customer chats like away messages for when businesses are not able ot respond at the moment” Ads on WhatsApp? Facebook has been fiddling with ads by seeing where they can expand. Facebook messenger has been the latest victim of the ad expansion. Ever since WhatsApp for acquired for billion in 2014 by Facebook, WhatsApp had been free from any sort of monetization, even ditching the subscription that it asked for, leaving almost no monetization chances on the app. (https://tomadamswc.com/) The Business App could be the first ad space that Facebook could use to expand on WhatsApp. WhatsApp ha over 1.3 billion monthly users and 1 billion daily users. Even if they advertise lightly, they can earn significantly just because of the sheer scope of the app. WhatsApp stories with its 250 million daily users could might as well also include ads like Instagram stories does. The Future of WhatsApp Spy? This is perhaps the biggest development in the world of WhatsApp probably since WhatsApp launched WhatsApp stories. This development is directly related to what XNSPY does and we’re very excited to see how our own apps evolves and works with the ever evolving tech world, that now has an entirely new front to explore. While business owners have always had a multitude of options in WhatsApp managing apps, with Xnspy, they have an even better way to check and manage employees since now it is fronted to one app. Here’s to a new front on the WhatsApp and XNSPY world!

Is Augmented Reality the Next Big Thing in Smartphone Technology?

When Pokémon Go was released, the world lost its mind and went totally crazy for the app. It became one of the downloaded and used apps of all time. The popular Pokémon franchise had some new life breathed into it and many were playing it to relive the old days of the hit cartoon series and also become what every child had wanted to become ever since they watched their first episode of Pokémon: A Pokémon Master. There have been countless Pokémon games, in fact the cartoon series was started as a way to promote the video games and trading card game.  These games have sold millions and are still currently among one of the most popular franchises. But it was Pokémon Go that made people feel like actual Pokémon Masters and feel as if though the Pokémon in front of them were actually real. This is hugely thanks to the unique Augmented Reality that the app offered at the time. Augmented Reality had since taken a front seat on technology companies list of new developments they needed to work on and it seems now that we are first starting to see the fruit of that labor. Pokémon Go pushed an entire industry to work towards Augmented Reality. And now two of smartphone company’s giants, Google and Apple have both released resources for app developers and software developers to make Augmented Reality to work with and make AR apps. Apple’s Augmented Reality: ARKit Apple first announced and launched its Augmented Reality developer resources called ARKit to the world three months ago and we are already seeing what the technology is capable of. Apple uses software and software alone to make this Augmented Reality dream a possibility and no further additional hardware like sensors are required. So Augmented Reality related features will work on previous models of the iPhone, too. Up from the iPhone 6s, Apple has said that their AR apps will work theoretically without any problems, which is very good news for people with older models of the iPhone since they would not have to upgrade their phones to experience new technology. Augmented Reality superimposes pictures, animations, characters, and graphics; anything you can think of over real life. Through the AR software the motion, distance and depth is calculated and then the image is superimposed over it. But it still has a long way to go. The ARKit only works on horizontal flat surfaces such as tables, floors etc. You can place or superimpose anything over a flat surface and it will appear without a hitch. But it still has trouble detecting curved surfaces, surfaces with odd shapes, and even vertical walls. It works well on shiny, glossy and reflective surfaces as well so there is no need to worry about that situation. As of now, we only the back camera is usable in the ARKit so if you were planning to check out some Snapchat like filters on the front facing camera- you might have to wait a while. Apple might just possibly reveal front camera features with the iPhone 8. The ARKit is only usable with iOS 11 and onwards so if you are planning to use the AR apps and features you have to update your devices. (https://texasdls.com) One augmented reality app to look out for is the ‘Walking Dead’ app. You’ll get to fight the hordes of the undead among the iconic characters from the show. A release date hasn’t been announced as of yet. It uses much of the same concepts as the Pokémon Go app but of course is less child friendly and bloodier. Google’s Augmented Reality: ARCore Google has already delved into the world of Augmented Reality with their Tango project. The Tango project was not exactly a success since it was very limited with how it worked. It needed special hardware and sensors to work and Google had paired up with a few phone companies such as Asus to release special Tango phones but now it seems that is a thing of the past.  According to some rumors, apps made specifically to utilize Tango will not work with the new Google AR. So we can think of Tango as done and dusted. Google’s ARCore is a direct response to Apple. From what we have seen as of yet, both are technically on equal. Both work the same way and are in performance terms – equal. But their differences will become clearer once we have our hands on the new software itself. Google will have a slight advantage over Apple and all its devices since they have been working with Augmented Reality longer but Apple is not far behind either. According to leaks and rumors, the new iPhone 8 will have dual vertical cameras to help support augmented reality apps. Googles AR is all software based too. It works on the basis of three basic components: motion tracking, environmental understanding and the third is light approximation. So using the example of Oz, the app Google has used to showcase their new ARCore, let us see how these three components work. In the Oz app you can have the Cowardly Lion come out and stand in the center. Motion tracking will allow the user to pin the lion and then walk around it. Environmental understanding will make it easier to detect flat surfaces and surfaces where the character might be placed. Light approximation will tell the app just how much light there is in the environment, so for example if you were to turn out the lights with the Cowardly Lion in the room h would react and be terrified. Google aims to have its ARCore on 100 million devices in the near future. Although, it is still unclear which Android versions ARCore be functional on and just how well it runs but from what we have seen it is very impressive. XNSPY XNSPY will work with any and all versions of Android and iOS currently and in the future.

How to Ensure Your Kids “Party Responsibly” this Halloween 2017

Partying responsibly? Anyone might scoff at that sentence but as a parent it is a mantra that you need to adopt and maintain for your children.  Children and teenagers will be children and teenagers- there is no denying that fact and it falls on you as a responsible parent to monitor what they are doing and correct them where they are wrong, right? So then why are so many parents so ignorant of what their children are doing at parties? Parties and social gatherings although great for their development – are hubs of peer pressure and being offered thing that no one should willingly do.  Organizations who monitor alcohol abuse say that how that most teens have their first alcoholic beverage at un-monitored parties at the age of 14-15. Can you imagine your 14 year old passed out drunk at an un-monitored party full of hormone fueled teenagers? Anything can happen and you should be ready for it. This should in no way mean that you should not allow your kids to go to parties but you should be smart in the way you go about it. And how do you do that? Well XNSPY has made it infinitely easier to keep up with your children’s lives by monitoring what they do. All you have to do is to take the appropriate steps to protect your children. Know what they are planning It has become all too easy for your kids to deceive you and make you think that they are not involved in anything that might draw concern from you. But in reality they are just as shrewd as any adult and it is your responsibility to help them realize that there are people much cleverer than they are and they should not get ahead of themselves. How do you do that? Well the first step is knowing what they are going to do. It is very easy for them to tell you that they are going to a friend’s place to study when in reality they might be going to a party. And what goes on at that party is anyone’s guess. Alright, they are going to a party- no harm, no fowl- yet. Only if you know what they are going to do can you set up preventative measures or take actions to protect them. You might get in contact with the parents of the host of the party and talk to them about safety and such. You need not take any harsh steps as to not over step the boundaries of your child’s life but you can be their watchful angel. All of this can only be accomplished if you are well aware of what your child is going to do. XNSPY again steps in with its plethora of amazing features and saves your day. It allows you to view messages on just about every popular messaging app, view their location, and monitor incoming and outgoing calls and so much more. Know Trust and Truth Trust and truth are two qualities are something that every parent should adopt. Building a relationship of trust is a surefire ways of having your teenager respect you.  If say, your child is trying to sneak out to a party and you confront them about it because you had prior knowledge of it thanks to XNSPY- you can tell them how you are there for them and they can trust you with anything. That is how you should go about building trust. Let them go to that party with the knowledge that they can trust you with anything and that they no longer have to be afraid of getting caught or getting in trouble with you.  Build such a relationship with your child that they come up to you before doing anything and talk to you. One of the ways to do this is to get XNSPYs help. XNSPY is the trick up your sleeve that gives you the advantage. Know What Happened Teenage parties are a scary place to be since the entire place is filled with sex crazed teenagers who are fueled by their hormones and nothing else. Such places are the breeding grounds of sexual assault and other activities of the sort. Anything can happen at these parties. Though the teens might not know it they are unknowingly committing sexual assault and harassment at these parties and there is no one to tell them they should not. This becomes commonplace for them and they go on to commit such foul acts throughout their life. But sexual assault and harassment is on one end of the spectrum of what might happen and there is plethora of other things that can happen too. One of which is property damage.  Who knows what teenagers get up to at parties but it is so common to see broken or at least damaged property at a party.  You child might have been the one who might have broken something too. Now it is your job to protect and help your child with the consequences. The child will most obviously try and hide this information from you and try to deal it with themselves but what kind of parent would you be if you allowed that to happen. Know what happened with XNPSY’s help, get all your facts straight and help your child deal with whatever follows. This will not only save your kid from a lot of trouble but will help to build a great amount of trust between the two of you as well. There are so many tools available to you as a parent that you can use to your advantage- and XNSPY is at the top of the line among those tools. What other app has the tools to bring you closer to your children? By knowing what they are doing, what they are planning and what they have done and using that knowledge to build a relationship of truth and trust is only something XNSPY can help you

Samsung Galaxy Note 8
NEWS, Tech

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is Official: Release Date, Specs and Price

Samsung unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy Not 8 through a livestream on YouTube on the 23rd of August in New York. The phone is a beautiful ‘infinite screen’ phablet, complete with dual cameras and of course its trademark S pen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could potentially be Samsung’s big comeback after the devastating life and death of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which was riddled with explosive battery problems. The predecessors to the Note 8, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have seemed to give Samsung a good footing back into the market, and the Galaxy Note 8 looks to build on what the Galaxy S8 has laid down. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released on the 15th of September in the US (just before The Holiday season) and the United Kingdom, The 22nd of September in Australia. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Price The Not 8 will cost $930, £869 and $1499, sim free. Pre Orders for the phone will start on August 23rd in the UK, August 24th for the US and August 25th for Australia. For anyone worrying about wait time for their preorders, the release of the phone will come soon enough, in a few weeks in fact. The price seems to be justified for all the specs the phone is offering. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Screen A Huge 6.3 inch Infinity Display is available with almost no bezel, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8.  A QHD (2960×1440) resolution with 521 ppi pixel density looks to take over the market as the best resolution and screen size combination available. It comes with a Super AMOLED 6.3 inch Infinity Display, a smidge bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (6.2 inch). Samsung took advantage of the entire front panel and kept bezels to almost zero, so that the user has the entire panel to their use. The resolution is the same as the S8 phones, which doesn’t really come as surprising as Samsung likes to take turns in introducing bigger and better screens. In the meantime, we’re quite happy with the QHD screen that has a 18.5:9 aspect ratio (even though the ppi is lower than the Samsung Galaxy S8 (529ppi) and S8 plus (570ppi) ). It is brighter, more colorful and more vibrant than anything we’ve seen from Samsung and can be a popular choice for media consumption. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Specs Samsung has included all the greatness of the S8 mixed with the potential of the Note series. With all of the specs, they have also made the phone IP68 approved which means water and dust proof and have also included two security measures. One being the finger print scanner (which is on the back) and an Iris Scanner, which was originally introduced in the Galaxy note 7. Compatibility with XNSPY As always, we’ll be working day and night to be the first tracking app to be compatible with Note 8! Keep an eye out for updates that will be coming your way soon!

Court Rules in Favor of H3H3Productions after a 17 Month Long Copyright Lawsuit

In April of 2016, YouTubers Ethan and Hila Klein better known as h3h3productions revealed to their viewers that they were being sued by fellow YouTuber Matt Hoss, better known as “Bold Guy”. Matt Hoss filed a copyright on a video h3h3productions had done reacting to one of his own videos titled “The Big, the BOLD, the Beautiful”. Matt Hoss claimed that h3h3productions used more than 70% of his original video in their own video while contributing nothing substantive. He was unhappy that his video was analyzed the way it was, in a comedic sarcastic manner, which he thought was a jab at his character. This copyright claim was soon moved to be a civil action lawsuit again Ethan and Hila Klein.  H3h3productions uploaded a video titled “We’re Being Sued” a month later, in which they explained to their viewers that they were being sued and how serious the situation had become. Ethan and Hila Klein decided to fight the case in a decision taken for principle, instead of giving into being made to settle with a payout. They argued that if a YouTube channel of their size was to succumb to pressure and alleged unfair treatment, smaller YouTube channels would be easy targets for anyone who feels like flagging a video for copyright in an unfair manner. And ever since, Ethan and Hila Klein have spent over a year fighting this court case, appearing in depositions, court dates, and other lawsuit nuances which also included them switching representation from Morrison & Lee LLP to an unnamed law firm representation. The speed of the trial was greatly affected by this transition, but things soon picked up after they switched lawyers. Even though the lawsuit charges reached to $50,000 a month (which included over $600 for photocopies). After a 1.5 year long period and an unknown amount of money spent, Ethan Klein tweeted out on the 23rdof August 2017: “We won the lawsuit. Video coming soon. Huge victory for fair use on YouTube.” Why This Copyright Lawsuit is Important This is a huge decision and hallmark for YouTube and the Internet itself. Many cases of misused copyright flags that turned into lawsuits were settled in payout or weren’t even pursued by many parties, in fear of the huge fees that lawsuits entail. This decision is a huge victory for fair use and an even bigger loss for anyone who abuses the DMCA. YouTube has been the center of false DMCA strikes and it has been a matter of discussion for the past few years. Some argued that the content a user uploads belongs solely to them and therefore they hold exclusive rights to its use and distribution by other users, even if it is used in a referential way or a critique. Others argue that the content uploaded can be used by other used in way that is creative and builds on what they have already created. YouTube was always quick to comply to copyright claims even if they were completely false. This court decision maybe a reminder to YouTube itself users there is a defined way in which content can be used in a constructive way and that they should not be so quick to comply with any claim. Here’s to the future of fair use and the Internet itself!

Employee Monitoring

4 Cases of Employee Related Theft in 2017 that Once Again Highlight the Importance of Employee Monitoring

August has seen a lot of crimes related to employees and how they use their positions and authority within the company to carry out outrageous thefts. For whatever reason there have been an increase in workplace related crimes and companies are at a loss. They cannot figure out how they are being robbed blind but in most of these cases it is their seemingly loyal employees who go behind their backs and quietly make off with substantial amounts. This is especially true with IT companies. A study carried out by insurance firm Hiscox found that there was an average $200,000 worth of theft and a whopping $2400K worth of funds or resources stolen from the workplace in the IT industry. Seemingly loyal employees pocket funds that rightfully belong to the company and as a result those companies suffer heavy losses and even a endure stain on their reputation in the market. The most common crime reported was vendor fraud- or simpler terms stealing cash through transferring client money to a private bank account. Employers have no way of finding these thieves out and reporting them to the correct authorities. 1.     Water Board Theft Employees in a Malawian water board ran off with a staggering equivalent of $1.7 million. They used their position at the board to have checks be payable to them so that they could pocket the funds that were supposed to go the water board. Originally they were going to get away with a double the original amount but were caught before they could accomplish their goal. The employees are still on the run and their locations cannot be tracked as of yet. 2.     New Jersey Guard Thief In the United States the same crime spree reigns. In New Jersey a guard at a security firm was able to rob $100,000 on the first day of his job. The 19 year old guard was in charge of loading and unloading armored trucks, re-filling ATMs and guarding banks. Instead the 19 year old was able to rob from the trucks he was supposed to protect but was caught red handed before he could get away. It is unknown if the thief was acting alone or on his own but speculation says he received prior information. It is still frightening to think that he was so easily able to pocket such a large amount. This particular employee was fortunately caught and prosecuted but who is to say there are not more who aren’t doing the exact same crimes and getting away with it? Employers put their faith in these employees to carry out their jobs and transport huge sums from destination to destination. 3.     Albuquerque Phone Theft In a Walmart branch two employees used their cards to steal a Samsung Galaxy and an iPhone. Store related crimes are one of biggest ways money is lost by companies. Stores have gone out their way to install expensive security cameras and hire store guards that monitor suspicious customers 24/7. But it not the customers they need to monitor most, it is the employees since they make off with most of the money without being caught ever. In this case the violators were caught but again that begs the question- how many were not caught and made off with goods? 4.     Pharmacy Secrets Robbed One of the biggest fears of a company is their secrets being stolen and sold to rival companies. Par Pharmaceuticals Inc. had this fear realized when two ex-employees started a competitive firm, QuVa, using the trade secrets they robbed from Par Pharmaceuticals Inc. Allegedly, a popular cardiopulmonary drug was ripped off and was being produced  by the competitive firm. The ex-employees allegedly enticed other employees into leaving the firm and joining them who complied and left Par Pharmaceuticals. Par Pharma had invested time and money into their popular one of a kind drug and thus were both angry and disappointed with how it was stolen and then manufactured to be sold as a competitor to themselves. There is a Pattern Here Companies have preventative measures against customers who might steal or might embezzle their interests and funds but have few measures to protect against their own employees. Authorities have reported that there is a common pattern with the employees who steal from their employers. Employees who stay late, work long hours and take fewer vacations are more likely to rob their employers. They harbor grievances against their employers and start to steal small amounts of resources. This way they build a good relationship with these employees and as a result employers are less vigilant with them. Another pattern noticed by Hiscox was that employees who tend to rob their employers are mostly of an older age, commonly 48-50 and have been serving in a company for over 15 years. During this time slot employers do not even bother to check these employees’ actions since they have such a strong relationship with them. Such embezzlements also usually happen over years and in small amounts. Individuals who steal are clever in what and how they rob. They usually bide their time and steal in small amounts thus reducing the risk of getting caught and successfully carrying out theft for an elongated amount of time. They work their way up to larger amounts and find multiple ways to access company funds and resources just so they can rob more. Employers and clients need to have their guard up at all times to avoid this. XNSPY Has Always Had the Employee Tracking App XNSPY offers a variety of ways to keep track of your employees and what they are doing. Using the employee tracking app you can receive timely updates about the whereabouts and actions of those one might have employed and make sure they are not involved in suspicious activities. It is a surefire way to keep an employer in the loop and catch harmful and possibly financially damaging activities and nipping them in the bud to avoid harm. Messages sent

Child Monitoring, Parental Monitoring

4 of the Best Games Showcased at Gamescom 2017 that All Parents Should Know About

The world’s largest gaming event—Gamescom just came to a close after busy and overall successful days. The event was held by Koelnmesse in Cologne and the event was inaugurated by none other than the Chancellor of Germany herself, Angela Merkel. This was seen as a huge step forward in the acceptance of gaming as an art form and as a general industry by the government and the population as a whole. The gaming world is very thankful to Angela Merkel for her acceptance and appearance at the event. But moving on, Gamescom 2017 was a great event for all the new games coming out in the later in the year to show off their stuff and gain popularity among the masses. Events like Gamescom and the like are the platform where every game company strives to be and pulls out all the stops to gain popularity. This year at Gamescom was no different. A 400,000 strong crowd was treated to a plethora of games which included games from industry giants like Nintendo, EA, Sledgehammer Games and games from indie developers too. Overall the event was a huge success and here are some games that caught everyone’s attention! 1.     Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo has made one of the most successful comebacks in gaming history following their not so stellar game console – the WII U did not meet any sales expectations they had. The Nintendo Switch coming out changed everything for the Japanese game company. Only a few years ago their stocks were crashing but now their new console has become their highest selling one of all time. This is in part thanks to the critically acclaimed launch title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This game blew critics away by just how much it altered the franchise’s staples and it looks like Super Mario Odyssey is set to accomplish the same. Super Mario Odyssey has been one of the most anticipated games of the year. The game is set to be in line with the legendary titles- Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine as per Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto. The game will feature worlds and Mario must travel from world to world accomplishing tasks to earn Moons. In the previous games there were 7-8 stars to collect per world but this time round Nintendo have gone absolutely all out and included 80 moons to collect per level. The world was shown more gameplay and new worlds in the wake of the games October release. 2.     FIFA 18 One of the longest running franchises in gaming history, FIFA 18 is set to make its return and make a lasting impression on gamers. The game has seen substantial changes in the previous installments with FIFA 17 actually introducing an all new story mode. A story mode in a sports game seems far-fetched but FIFA managed to pull it off incredibly. FIFA 18 was showcased at Gamescom and much to the crowds pleasure it seemed heavily improved. The franchise has been criticized in the past for its slow adaptation to the games physic but things have seemed to have changed this time round. The new story mode is also heavily choice based a la Mass Effect. The games story will change according to the choices made by the player. There has been a focus on gameplay instead of cinematics thus player customization is a huge part of game play now. Online functionality seems to have been heavily improved. 3.     Call of Duty WWII The Call of Duty has suffered through franchise stagnation over the past few years with its previous two titles Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare performing extremely poorly at the market. The series creators took a back seat and thought about what they should do with the series and how they should move forward with the franchise. Returning back to its roots was the solution. Set during the events of World War 2, Call of Duty: WWII is set to return to the place where it originally gained its popularity. The gaming world has been starved of a good WW2 game ever since the legendary World at War came out. With the release of Battlefield 1 gamers were treated to an intense World War 1 experience. A World War 2 game with the modern graphics of 2017 is all we want. Gamers at Gamescom were shown the revived Zombie mode. A gritty, dark and bloody return to the fan favorite Nazi Zombie mode was showcased at Gamescom and it helped to make it one of the most popular games at the event. The Nazi Zombie mode was always a fan favorite and to see it return to where it came from really excited fans. 4.     Assassin’s Creed: Origins Another franchise that has suffered through franchise stagnation; the Assassin’s Creed games used to come out every year and as a result the franchise suffered through a huge drop in quality both in gameplay and technicalities. But now series creators at Ubisoft have taken a step back and really worked hard to breathe some new life into this old franchise. Assassin’s Creed : Origins will take us back to a breathtaking re-imagining of Ancient Egypt and have us witness the creation of the actual Assassins. The games visuals were what most gamers at Gamescom seemed to have admired most of all. The historical accuracy is also what people have noticed about the game and everything looks to be in order for the series to make a lasting impression on gamers. But some gamers at Gamescom still had complaints about the cluttered user interface which blocked view of and sometimes diverted attention from the wonderful scenery. But time will tell if this game will be worth buying or not. XNSPY will help with monitoring all the gameplay and online interaction a child may have while playing these games. Most if not all games will have online functionality through smart phones so a parent can very easily monitor who their child

A Review of the Reported Cases of Cyber Bullying in 2017 So Far—Part 2

As promised, here’s part 2 of our blog on cyber bullying in 2017. Today, well focus more on how it can be prevented… What We Can Do Cyberbullying maybe an online entity where lots of anonymity may exist, but the truth of it is that the bullying party isn’t too smart most of the time. Messages, calls or anything of the sort can usually be tracked since a lot of bullies use their main accounts on any social media. But really, the problem isn’t what you’re going to do when you confront the bully, the problem is finding out who the bully is or wants, or why they exist in the first place. If you’re a parent, it is your responsibility to be involved in their lives, no excuses. You should know who is in their social circle in real life, who their closest friends and you should regularly meet with them if need be. Chances are that the cyber bullying is being done by someone at their school or someone they actually know (your child may or may not know this). Know this: There are high chances that your child will NOT come to you when they’re facing bullying. They will feel that they are capable enough to deal with this situation, when they are not. Because children nowadays are born into computers and the internet, their confidence and dependence on it is high. This means that they think they’re got the internet figured out enough to be able to deal with all of its nuances, etiquettes and behavior patterns. Your job is to get involved, whether they’re being bullied or not. There are several ways you can do this. One highly recommended way is to use a cellphone tracker app such as XNSPY. A cellphone tracker app such as XNSPY will be the bet you have for getting into their online personal life. XNSPY as Your Cell Phone Tracking App XNSPY is a cellphone tracking app designed to track all apps, messages, calls and location of the target device you wish. XNSPY’s features, such as WhatsApp Spy will let you on their WhatsApp conversations and all media sent and received. If you child doesn’t use WhatsApp, fear not. MessengerSpy, the messaging app used for Facebook is also available on XNSPY. Most Cyber bullies take to Facebook to let their frustration out on others. As Facebook is the most easy to use social website and the most accessible to everyone, especially their victims, it becomes an easy to job to see who is responsible for the bullying. If you’re actually scared for your child’s safety, you can track their live location using XNSPY’s location tracker. You can check where they are at the moment and you can even set up e-barrier’s in certain locations or paths, if they cross this marked location you will get a notification. You can check their gallery too to see if they have any screenshot of conversations of sensitive media. IF they have contact with someone you know is trouble, you can check if they have contact by the message or call log monitor. You can mark this person so whenever they contact your child or try to get to them, you will receive an automated message notifying that the device is being contacted. All of this will be managed through the control panel that will be available on your own device or desktop. How to Actively Combat Cyber Bullying and Bullying in General When teenagers or adolescents say that the older generation ‘just doesn’t get it’, they are half right. The older generation, or anyone with authority or in a position of power seems to skim over actually trying to help anyone being bullied or anyone with depression. The unfortunate situation of an actual suicide happening in a school, and the way most schools respond to the suicide is just sad. Schools will put up banners and posters that basically say “Don’t kill yourself, kid!”. People who actually knew the person is usually disgusted by anyone trying to capitalize on this situation. Schools and school boards consider it as a PR event more than a human taking their own life event. The Netflix show 13 Reasons Why was a show that details how a girl was led to taking her own life after he peers, through cyber bullying, circulating rumors and a plethora of other reasons. Even though the show has its criticisms, the point was that the people around her let it happen, her parents never knew of the torment she was going through and a few more unfortunate events. She was made to take her own life. It was only after her death that the people around her, including her bullies found out why and how she was made to take her own life. Schools, especially American High schools with their zero tolerance policy give power to bullies. Sure they might suspend the bully or give them detention, but they really aren’t punishing the bullies. Especially where there is a difference or power between the bully and victim, schools will still punish both. This leads the victim of the bullying feeling frustrated and denied, they feel that the authorities have sided with the bully. With online bullying, it isn’t hard to track who the bully is. Bullies should be pursued and talked to and penalized for their behavior. Through Facebook or any social media where they might be susceptible bullying. The problem becomes when they’re being targeted by someone who is anonymous. If they get threats from someone they don’t even know. Anonymous bullies might go the next step by actually sending the victim harmful things through mail and sending the police to your house etc. The best bet you have of protecting your child from anonymous bullies online is to track their browsing and see what forums and communities they frequent online. There is a high possibility that their bullies are on these boards. Your next step should be

A Review of the Reported Cases of Cyber Bullying in 2017 So Far

It is about the time when students all over the world head back into the real world after tuning out school and real life socializing during the summer. During summer, most of these children spent their active socializing time and efforts into the online world. Now, because they’re so accustomed to online etiquette or lack thereof, the tendencies and mannerisms with which one may carry themselves online may bleed out into the real world. Whether this is harmful or not, depends from person to person, but certain characteristics and affiliations can be deduced and tracked to see if they’re caught up on the wrong traits. Do they care for one other‘s privacy? Do they give out or receive physical, verbal or psychological attacks or intimidation against someone who cannot properly defend themselves? With traditional bullying, there might be an imbalance of power, where one might be weaker than the other whereas that may or may not be the case online. Stereotypically, it is sometimes the physically fitter ones who do the bullying in real life, even though that not might always be true. Online literally anyone can be a bully, because of the plethora of ways you can be.  Where the schoolyard maybe the bullies’ playfield, social media is the online playground for anyone with malicious intentions. This info graphic by TeenSafe details some statistics and insight to the magnitude of Cyber bullying. The Statistics In 2016, 22% of children reported being bullied in school whereas 43% reported being bullied online. This goes to show that not only has bullying evolved in its form, but it has over taken traditional bullying. This is because of a few different reasons and one has to understand the mindset of a young person online. With anonymity, the fear of repercussions and actual consequences is removed and anyone with harmful intentions may do as they please without getting caught. This is why 81% of young people say it’s easier to bully online. Kinds of CyberBullying Online bullying can also carry different implications. Bullies can just hurl verbal abuses and sent messages, but it can be much more that. Doxxing, which is the action of leaking someone’s home address or passwords or any personal data to the internet, is an immediate threat. Bullies may blackmail their victims by threatening to release their personal information. Another type of blackmail, which females the most is when they have private pictures/videos held by someone who will use it for blackmail. Spreading rumors or asking anonymous boards to attack the victim may also be a very real threat. Reporting Cyberbullying is Low 1 in 10 children will tell an adult about the abuse they’re experiencing. This is because they think that they can handle it themselves or in fear of being ridiculed further for being a ‘momma’s boy’. It is because of this further fear of being ridiculed, children don’t tell anyone who can help them. Which is why 90% of teens who see cyberbullying say they ignore it because they don’t think It’s actual bullying. Teens will ignore secret Facebook groups dedicated to leaking personal data and media of other teens because they are either ‘benefitting’ from this type of behavior or they don’t know the person being targeted so they don’t care either. The Effects It Has on Everyone Around Us With Cyber bullying, the victim feels that they’re bully has invaded even their personal space and so they feel paranoid all the time. They feel that they’re being watched all the time from their bully. Besides paranoia, one can experience depression, change in mood to hostile or defensive to everyone around them, a loss of interest that usually means they may not be able to concentrate. This leads to poor school performance. General disconnection from everything is also a symptom. All of these symptoms may or may not be related to each other. If a number of factors play in and bullying is bad enough, some teens might end up self-harming, or worse, taking their own life. This is a subject no one wants to talk about or really, think about because they don’t want to think of their loved one in that way. But the das truth is that avoiding the subject through verbal communication might end up in a bad way for you. Take for instance, Dagmara Pryzbysz who we wrote an article on previously. She was the target of bullying, on and offline because of her polish heritage and the inability of locals to accept her as a part of them. Her parents were unaware of the bullying she had been going through and unfortunately, she was found hung in the girl’s bathroom in the same school she was bullied in.
